In 2017, NIA published a report about using the Major Portions option to establish regulatory finality of part of a reactor for a Standard Design Approval. This Addendum provides lessons learned from NIA's observation of a pre-application interaction by Terrestrial Energy USA that drew upon NIA's original report.
